What we collect

You can read everything on this site without giving us anything. We collect an email address only if you choose to give one — by subscribing to updates or sending a message through the contact form — and we use it only for the purpose you gave it for.

Analytics

We use analytics to understand which pages are useful and where people get stuck. This records pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device type and referring site. We do not use it to identify individuals.

Advertising

This site carries advertising, including Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, and manage third-party cookies at aboutads.info/choices.

Notifications

If you enable browser notifications, your browser gives us an anonymous subscription token. It is not linked to your identity, and you can revoke it in your browser settings at any time.

What we never do

• We do not sell personal information.
• We do not pass your details to nursing homes, chains or placement agencies. We are not a referral service.
• We do not ask for health information, and you should not send any through the contact form.

Your choices

Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link. You can ask us to delete anything we hold about you by writing to us through the contact page.

This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
